The International Centre for Numerical Methods in Engineering (CIMNE) is a world leader in research, innovation, and technology transfer in numerical methods and computational engineering for the advancement of science and society. Since 1987, CIMNE leads global research, education, dissemination, and technology transfer in numerical methods and computational engineering.

Main equipment or Facilities
The CIMNE Labs Network (Red de Aulas CIMNE) is a unique, international matrix of physical spaces, joint laboratories established through collaboration agreements between CIMNE and leading universities.
Each CIMNE Lab serves as a dynamic hub for cooperation in education, research, and technological development (RTD) in the field of numerical methods in engineering. Locally managed by distinguished professors and experts, these labs foster innovation in diverse areas such as Civil Engineering, Manufacturing, Bio-Medical Engineering, Energy and Environment, Transport, High Performance Computing, and Information Technologies, among others.
Currently, the network comprises 32 labs in 10 countries—including Spain, Argentina, Mexico, Brazil, and more—creating a vibrant, global community dedicated to advancing computational engineering. The CIMNE Labs Network is a pillar for technology transfer, bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and real-world application, while also providing advanced training and continuous education for local students and professionals.
