General information

Description

The University of Alcalá (UAH) is a public university located in Alcalá de Henares (Madrid), with around 28,000 students, 2,000 faculty members, and 800 administrative and service staff. It has three campuses —Historic, Science and Technology, and Guadalajara— and offers 40 undergraduate degrees, 78 postgraduate programs, and continuing education across all fields of knowledge.

Recognized in national and international rankings for its teaching quality, research, and internationalization, UAH combines historical tradition with an innovative outlook. Its origins date back to 1293, and its Renaissance university model, promoted by Cardinal Cisneros in 1499, became a reference for universities in Ibero-America. Its historic campus was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1998.
