Description
CIM UPC is a leading technological center with intense and diverse activity in research and technological development oriented towards industry. Our approach combines scientific knowledge, practical experience, and execution capacity to generate tangible innovation that can be transferred and applied to the production sector.
Our research lines are centered around advanced manufacturing technologies, with specialization in additive manufacturing, 3D design, automation, cyber-physical systems, and sustainability. We develop projects that not only explore new technical capabilities but also aim to generate real industrial impact and promote business competitiveness.
Our goal is clear: to transform research into applied innovation, accelerating the adoption of emerging technologies and closely collaborating with companies and institutions to build a more efficient, sustainable, and intelligent industrial model.
Summary of Research Services
At CIM UPC we offer technological services in Advanced Manufacturing, with a practical and results-oriented approach, to optimize production processes and industrial solutions. We have developed sustainable and innovative projects, incorporating recycled materials and efficient processes, as well as equipment adaptations for specialized uses in sectors such as healthcare, microelectronics, and Industry 4.0. We put innovation and our technological services at the service of industry to make it more efficient, versatile, and competitive.

Technology Capabilities
At CIM UPC, we develop advanced research projects in Additive Manufacturing with a practical and technological approach to improve production processes.
We work with 3D technologies to create high added-value solutions: intelligent cooling and lubrication systems, customized equipment, and functional components.
We have promoted sustainable systems with recycled CO₂ and the manufacturing of porous components for sectors such as healthcare and microelectronics. We also adapt printers for specialized uses.
